Norton BlueFire R884P Type 27 flat flap disc. For grinding and finishing carbon, steel, welds and soft metals use better tier Norton BlueFire R884P flap discs. Upgraded new zirconia alumina grain and durable Y-weight polyester flaps are mounted on new easily- trimmable plastic back plate. High performance zirconia alumina plus abrasive grain for up to 30 percent longer life than competitive zirconia alumina products. New blue plastic back plate: easily-trimmable T27 flat shape for blending and smooth finishing. Polyester flaps provide improved durability. Semi-open coat retards loading on aluminum and other hard to grind materials. Grinding, stock removal, edge chamfering/beveling, weld blending, deburing/deflashing, rust removal, cleaning and finishing. Flap discs are a combination of abrasive flaps adhered to a rigid backing plate. It is the backing plate that provides stability during operation. The plastic backing plate offers some additional conformability and is trimmable. Standard density; excellent for heavy-duty applications and rapid stock removal. Type 27 flat used primarily on flat surfaces. The best choice for blending and smooth finishing. Grind at steeper angles: 0 to 15 degree.
